Pennine Marine is the premier marine dealership for ribs, powerboats and outboard engines in Northern England. We specialise in sales, servicing and support of ribs, powerboats, outboard engines - together with boat and engine servicing and outboard engine spares parts.
We also sell a full range of marine chandlery, sailing clothing, wetsuits, boat trailers, boat trailer spares and increasingly more canoes and kayaks.
We offer for sale only good quality new marine brands, or good preowned boats and engines. Being based in Yorkshire we always offer you quality boating products at reasonable prices.
As well as new boat and outboard engine sales, Pennine Marine has the best and most comprehensively equipped marine engine and outboard engine servicing workshop in the UK (these are the Suzuki Marine UK’s Managing Directors own words, not ours). We therefore offer you a full outboard and inboard engine service facility, with a comprehensive repair, upgrading and spare parts service.
Pennine Marine is hidden in the historic market town of Skipton - the "Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park". We are based where you least expect to find a rib, powerboat or indeed any other large boating business. Therefore Pennine Marine is probably the best kept secret in the boating world.
If you haven’t heard of us or been here before - please visit us - we are open six days. Even experienced professionals in the marine and boating industry and senior RYA organisers and RYA trainers have been very surprised our size and sophistication when they have first been invited here! (One recent visitor - Chris of Ezyboat - was even more surprised on his second visit!). For new visitors to us, please tour this lovely area. Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales have plenty of attractions- both natural and historic- within a few miles of us, including the Dales National Park and several World Heritage sites.
Pennine Marine is on a par with major Solent based boating companies such as BHG and Saltern’s. However we are largely unknown, simply because don’t advertise in southern based boating magazines - PBO, Sailing Today, Yachting World, All at Sea, Motor Boats and Yachts, MBM etc. We don’t advertise with southerners as a point of principle. These boating magazines never come north of Watford - so we don’t spend our money with them!
Most of our ribs, boats, tenders, inflatable’s, outboard engine, boat trailers, servicing and canoe business therefore comes to us from personal recommendations, word of mouth and repeat orders.

With a superbly equipped marine engineering workshop Pennine Marine undertakes whole-life boatcare for all ribs, powerboats, with full servicing of outboard engines and inboard engines.
We offer a full spares and servicing centre for all these three leading brands of outboard engines, Yamaha, Suzuki and Torqeedo. We service and support all other leading outboard engine brands such as Evinrude/Johnson, Tohastu, Honda and Mercury/Mariner.
We pride ourselves on providing a thorough and professional service, on everything from small spare parts up to major rebuilds and engine upgrades.
OUR CUSTOMERS - LEISURE, PROFESSIONAL AND COMMERCIAL BOATERS
Our regular customers are start with small rib and inflatable boat owners on Lake Windermere right through to serious deep-sea ribs and patrol craft used in the North Sea and Irish Sea. Our boating customers are based in Yorkshire, Lancashire, County Durham, the Lake District, Cheshire, Humberside, Northumberland, the Midlands, and North Wales. We regularly receive customers from Windermere, the West Coast of Scotland and Loch Lomond.
Pennine Marine export our ribs, tenders, inflatable’s, outboard engines, canoes and spares to customers internationally to Spain, Sweden, Greece and Turkey and we export boats and engines to southern England (yes- before you ask- we even export across the border into Lancashire).
Numerous rib tour operators, youth groups, sailing and powerboat clubs and RYA training centre’s throughout Northern England use Pennine Marine for all their new boats, parts and servicing. Pennine Marine also supports numerous activity and canoeing centre’s based in the four nearby National Parks- the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors, Peak District and of course the Windermere and the Lake District.
Our professional and commercial customers often have very demanding all-weather all-year craft. We supply rib tours and rib safaris, commercial fishing ribs and fishing boats, offshore support ribs, diving ribs, inshore rescue craft, environmental survey boats and government agency offshore patrol vessels.

Torqeedo Electric Outboards - petrol saving outboard engines!
Torqeedo electric outboards will soon be the electric outboard engine of choice - if there is ever another petrol tanker drivers’ dispute these Torqeedo outboards are definitely the outboard engine to buy - so you can keep motoring when everybody else is queuing at the pumps.
P.S. There are real practical advantages to having a Torqeedo electric outboard in your boat locker or in your car boot. Torqeedo’s are clean and do not leak fuel or oil.

Suzuki Outboard Engine News
Suzuki has announced that their all new Suzuki DF20 lightweight outboard engines will be available for sale from mid 2012. These Suzuki DF20 outboards promise to be very lightweight and fuel efficient Suzuki outboard engines. For the first time, these Suzuki outboards will compete head to head with Yamaha in this important category of 20hp outboard engine size.

Yamaha are the preferred outboard engine supplier to the RNLI. The RNLI always use Yamaha outboard engines. There is no better recommendation of a Yamaha outboard engine than an RNLI life boatman for confirmation of quality and reliability. Yamaha have announced a special insurance scheme for all new Yamaha outboard engines in 2012.

Pennine Marine is now the Ezyboat dealership for Northern England. Pennine Marine is now the only Ezyboat dealership for all of Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria, the Lake District and North Wales. The innovative Ezyboat is for sale with your choice of either sailing equipment and/or an outboard engine. We are able to offer the Ezyboat for sale with either Suzuki or Yamaha outboard engines, or your own choice of any other brand of outboard engine.
The innovative Ezyboat boat, a unique folding trailer-sailor is now on display in our Skipton showroom. Practical demonstrations of the Ezyboat’s unique folding and towing ability can be provided. We can show you that Ezyboat really is the unique and family friendly towable boat that it claims to be.
Canoes and Kayaks - Z-Pro, Ocean Kayak, Necky and Old Town
Our canoes and kayak range is currently the inflatable Z-Pro range- the Tango, Pioneer and Flash.
Pennine Marine has recently been selected as the main dealership for all Johnson Outdoors canoes and kayaks in Yorkshire, Lancashire and the Lake District. A selection of canoes and kayaks from the large number of Johnson Outdoors canoe brands will be here in our Skipton showroom in May.
