Southampton Boat Show 2010 (31/07/2010 @ 11:57:40)

Hello everyone, it's been a while since our last newsletter

Here's whats been going on.
If any of you have visited us in past few months we have had a very busy year. Service work of all shapes and sizes has past through our workshop doors in great quantities which has been keeping us all more than occupied.

Sales of new boats and engines have carried on despite current climate which is brilliant. Second hand sales have also picked up over the past few weeks hence the recent additions to our website.

SOUTHAMPTON BOAT SHOW 2010
The boat show this year will be held between Friday 10th September and Sunday 19th September.
John will again be apearing on the Zodiac/Avon/Bombard stand hopefully with his sales head on.

We are also supplying a boat to the show this year, a Pro Open 650 complete with Suzuki DF150. It will be displayed on the water not the indoor stand. So if you visit the show do have a wonder down to the jetty to see a Pennine Marine built boat, which we all know is the best kind

There will be special discounts available on all our boat and engines whilst the show is running so it's a great time to grab a deal

In the meantime we all hope every is having a good season and look forward to seeing you all again soon

Another successful Demo for Pennine Marine this year.
A BIG thankyou to all our customers for taking the time to come along and visit we really appreciate it. Everyone that did join us seemed to enjoy themselves, I think the BBQ played a big part in that

As ever a VERY BIG thankyou to Zodiac/Avon (Jon) and Suzuki (Mark) for devoting their time to help as well as, Kath, Sophie, Phil and ofcourse Maria. Wouldn't have been possible without you guys.

The prize draw winners will be contacted personally within the next week or so.

In other news, this years season has hit with a bang again. Workshop space and time is booked up for roughly two weeks, which is brilliant. If you require our services please book in advance, leaving yourself a few weeks before use.
As well as Sevylor, we have taken on a new brand of inflatable Kayak called Z-Pro, details of which will be on our website ASAP.

2010 OPEN WEEKEND CONFIRMED

17th and 18th APRIL 2010
SATURDAY 9:00am TILL 5:00pm, SUNDAY 10:00am TILL 4:00pm

This Year, due to circumstances, instead of our annual On-The-Water Demo we are inviting all our customers and friends to join us for a land-based Open Weekend at our premises in Skipton.

When we moved into our current building, 6 years ago, we had our first Open Weekend, so we thought it was high time we had all our customers back again to see how the company has evolved and grown.

As usual there will be representatives from both Zodiac/Avon and Suzuki as well as the usual PML crowd. Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend as well as a lunch time BBQ on both days.

Two FREE prize draws will be held on each day. One for a Zodiac Inflatable and one for a Suzuki Engine. Conditions Apply.

Special discounts will be available on all boat and engine packages for the duratiion of the weekend, as well as a minimum of 10% on all other stock.

We hope you can attend and look forward to seeing you. We do ask that you contact us before the event so that we can get a rough idea of attendence

We are currently looking for a young apprentice to work along side Steven in the workshop. Outboard maintenance would be the main part of the apprenticeship, previous experience is not neccessary just eagerness to learn. Anyone showing a genuine interest will be invited for an interview. Southampton Boat Show 2009 (22/10/2009 @ 16:29:07)

After a few years away from the boat shows, our fearless leader (John) managed to gather up his nerves long enough and was very successful at the boat show.

We recieved orders for both rib and tender packages, some of which included:
Pro 12 man with Suzuki DF80
2x Pro 9 man with Suzuki DF50 & DF60

Cadet 250 Rib package
3x Zoom 230 packages
Cadet FR 310 package
2x FR 325 packages
Cadet 260 Airlite package

We also secured a Pro open 650 sale, complete with a Suzuki DF150

All in all a very eventful show for Pennine Marine, we are ofcourse going to be displaying at London boat show in January,if you are thinking of visiting the show both myself (Steven) and John will be down there for the duration.

We are now well into the winterizing period of the season, If you wish to book in for a winterize please call and ask for Steven.

Fred Cross (30/08/2009 @ 20:20:19)

The wife and family of Fred Cross would sincerely like to thank all Fred’s friends, work colleagues and Pennine Marine customers for their many kind messages of condolence over the past ten days.

Thank you to all whom attended the funeral, to the many whom travelled a long way and for the beautiful moving tributes.

Heartfelt thanks to all the guys in the Marine Industry (in many ways Fred’s second family), all at Suzuki UK, Yamaha, Zodiac Marine and Avon Inflatables and of course our ‘family’ at Pennine Marine.

Fred’s love and enthusiasm for his job owes a lot to the people he worked and came into contact with on a daily basis. The marine industry is unique in that it is more a feeling of ‘community-family’ than just a job! It was a huge part of his life, it was who he was and he will be forever missed.

One final note, good luck to all working at Southampton Boat Show. Hope sales are good, you can be sure Fred will be taking an interest!

It is with great sadness that we must announce that on Tuesday 18th August our Sales Manager Fred Cross was involved in a fatal car accident.

Fred will be greatly missed by all his friends and colleagues here at Pennine Marine and we send our sincerest condolences to his family.

For those of you who knew Fred and would like to pay your respects the funeral will be at St Josephs Church, Grafton Road, Keighley, W Yorks. BD21 1LB at 13:45 on Friday 28th August and afterwards 14:30 at Oakworth Crematorium, Wide Lane, Oakworth, Keighley, W Yorks. BD22 0RJ.

We would appreciate your patience and understanding during this very difficult time.

PRO-OPEN 550 BLACK LIMITED EDITION.

After securing the first UK sale of the Zodiac Pro-open 850, we now have the first very limited edition black Pro-open 550 available in the UK.

The black limited 550 looks stunning with new black and grey tubes, new shape tilting console, new console hand rail, 12v console socket, new bow locker lid and boarding ladder fitted as standard. Like the standard Pro-open 550 this limited model has navigation lights, auto bilge pump, 85ltr built in fuel tank, water separating fuel filter and battery master switch fitted as standard.
The first hull is now been rigged and will be ready for viewing in the showroom next week.
Rigged with a Suzuki DF100, Suzuki matched tacho, speedo, trim and fuel gauges, deluxe top mount control box. Mounted on an Indespension 1.3HE braked Rollercoaster trailer.
We have already ordered a second black 550 for on the water testing at Southampton boat show. This boat will be fully rigged with stainless steel bow rail, bolster seat back rest, Garmin 550s GPS/plotter/sounder, VHF radio.

PRO-OPEN 850 HEADS HOME.

After securing the first UK sale of the Zodiac Pro-open 850, the boat was rigged and is now with it's new owner.

The 850 is the flagship of the Zodiac Pro-open range.
After being rigged, the 850 has now been delivered to it's new home on the Isle or Wight.
A big thank you to Zodiac and Suzuki for all their help in the rigging process. The rib was rigged with the following equipment Standard Horizon VHF, Garmin GPS, plotter and sounder, Clarion CD sound system, Sea star hydraulic steering system and Indespension Roller Coaster trailer.
Thanks to Chris and co at 'The canvas man' for the "pimp my cover !!!" console and seat cover, just one word... MENTAL !! you guys deserve a TV show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are very pleased to announce that we have secured the first UK sale of a Zodiac Pro-open 850.

The 850 is the flagship of the range and has not been seen in the UK before.
The rib is to be rigged with twin Suzuki DF200 hp four stroke outboards, the ultimate in outboard engine technology.
The customer has had a Pro-open 550 for some years and wanted to upgrade to a bigger family rib with more deck space. Having the twin Suzuki's on makes his new rib a more open sea boat, with much better cruising range for longer family days offshore.

SUCCESS AT THE DEMO (13/06/2009 @ 07:38:09)

Our 2009 demo on bank holiday the 4th May was the best demo event to date.
A big thankyou to all our customers old and new who braved the wet and windy weather, but the day saw record orders been taken. A big thankyou to Mark from Suzuki for the effort to get the "stand in" Redbay rib on the water due to our Pro-open 650 being sold on Sunday afternoon prior to launching into the water, he had the longest day known to man.
As usual a VERY BIG THANKYOU to all the staff, Jonny (suzuki), Mark (suzuki), Jon (zodiac), Maria, Kath, Sophie, Steve, Barry, Ben, Terry, Gareth (suzuki), without this motley crew the demo would not happen.
Record sales mean record drinks at the bar !!!, John left the bar open on his departure which was abused to the max......................
Just one question about the evening, what were Barry's shoes made out of ??, I was at the bar at this point.
Same time next year guys ?????????????

2009 DEMO CONFIRMED (20/02/2009 @ 17:59:46)

2009 DEMO CONFIRMED

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY MAY 4TH 2009, 9.00am ~ 6.30pm

It's THAT time again !!!!!.
We are pleased to announce that the 2009 demo has now been confirmed.
Once again the event is to be held at the Coniston Hall Hotel, Skipton. The hotel is situated on the A65 heading towards the lake district from Skipton.
Everyone is welcome all that we ask is due to the event being on a single day is that you tell us how many people will be your party and which boats you are most interested in.
We have press ganged more staff and drivers than last year to try to avoid any unnecessary waiting time for the most popular boats, hence we are opening earlier 9.00am and the event will close at 6.30pm.
As usual toilet, refreshments and buoyancy aids will be provided throughout the day. Once again Zodiac and Suzuki representatives and fully trained drivers will be present to help in running the event. On arrival please go to the main entrance to be fitted with a buoyancy aid, NOBODY will be allowed onto the jetty without a buoyancy aid on.
On display will be a range of Zodiac ribs and inflatables from the Pro-open, Pro, Yachtline, Acti-v's, Roll up's and Air lite ranges of boat. Suzuki four stroke outboard engines, and Sevylor inflatable kayaks. This is the perfect time to try before you buy. LONDON BOAT SHOW 09 (11/12/2008 @ 17:21:24)

LONDON BOAT SHOW JAN 9TH-18TH 2009
It's nearly that time again !!!!!!
With the new 15% vat rate there's never been a better time to buy your new Zodiac in preperation for the new season.
The Zodiac stand line up is now complete, the biggest boat on display is the Pro-open 650 (supplied by us). Rigged with a Suzuki DF175 and fitted with the following extra's,
sun deck kit, ski pole, boarding ladder, bow rail, CD sound system, bolster seat back rest, VHF radio.
Other boats on display are the NEW model Med 2c, Pro3 9man, two sizes of Yachtline deluxe, a range of mini ribs and new tenders.
Without doubt the Suzuki stand will be the star of the show, having 12 boats on the water and a further 10 boats on stands, and a full engine display.
We are working together with Zodiac and Suzuki and are aiming to supply boats (Zodiac) to both stands for the 2010 London boat show.

THREE IN A ROW !!!!! (31/10/2008 @ 11:54:10)

At the Suzuki dealer conference this week the team at Pennine recieved their third dealer award.
Best northern dealer, was awarded to John and Fred at the gala dinner at the De-Vere in Southampton on Monday night.
This comes after Best UK dealer awarded in Finland earlier this year.
After a late night,the second day we had on the water testing of a range of Suzuki engines.
Plans for the Excel boat show were also unvailed at the conference, it's going to be BIG and it involves a lot of water !!!!!well worth a trip to the show.
Plans for the Zodiac stand at Excel are nearing completion, as soon as they are confirmed we of course let you know which models will be on show.

It looks like winter is upon us, so our opening times are as follows
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat 8.00am ~ 5.00pm
Thursdays 8.00am ~ 7.00pm
