PIONER BOATS

Pioner boats have been a popular choice with sailing clubs, individuals and many marine companies for many years.

Pioner rigid boats are manufactured in Norway and are produced in polyethylene, a material that will withstand rough treatment and needs little or no maintenance. Pioneer rigid boats are known for longevity and durability.

Pioner boats have for many years been the first choice of boat rental companies throughout Europe and remain popular with both sailing clubs and various small marine companies.

Pioner boats have been supplied by Pennine Marine to a large number of customers in the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria area over the last two decades.

PIONER BOATS AT SAILING CLUBS

For sailing clubs, the Pioneer is a tough little boat that requires little maintainance work and will withstand repeated use by club members. The rigid hull, good stability and high freeboard mean it can be safely used as a sailing club support and rescue boat on lakes and reservoirs.

PIONER BOATS AT ACTIVITY, ADVENTURE AND HIRE CENTRES

For hire centres, as well as activity and adventure centres, the stability and solid feeling of the Pioner makes them ideal to use on lakes where there may be inexperienced users, who may have small members of the family with them.

PIONER WORKBOATS

For small marine companies, the Pioneer is an ideal rigid boat to be used as a support boat, harbour tender or workboat. Pioners are regularly supplied to river, canal maintainence and construction companies as both safety boats and workboats.

Pennine Marine supply, support and service a number of the larger Pioner boats that are used inshore in the Irish Sea and North Sea. The largest Pioner's - with their bow ramps - are a popular choice for environmental survey, geotechnical survey and fisheries research work in the demanding seas off the coasts of Yorkshire and Lancashire.

THE PIONER RIGID BOAT RANGE

The Pioner range of rigid boats is as follows;

PIONER MULTI

The big boat referred to above. A 5m long and 2m wide boat, this is popular choice for commercial inshore survey work. The Pioner Multi hull has an integral bow door and twin shallow keels, with control and steering all from the rear helm console. Up to 80hp engine.

PIONER VIKING

A 4.5m long rigid boat, with rear console steering and large open area forward. A good boat capable of long distance support work. Up to 40hp engine.

PIONER 15

The Pioneer 15 is a 4.5m long boat with rear console steering. Up to 30hp engine. A good club support and activity rescue boat which can be used on larger stretches of open water.

PIONER 13

The Pioner 13 is the most popular small boat in the Pioner range.The Pioneer 13 is ideal for use either as a family boat or as a small tender. The Pioner 13 is usually used with tiller steering engines, of up to 15hp. However a console steering option is available.

PIONER 10 and 12

The two smaller boats of the Pioner fleet. Both will take up to a 5hp engine. The light weight of the Pioner 10 and 13 means both are ideal for car roof rack transportation and manual handling into the water. These two Pioneers are often used for river and lake fishing. Both these small Pioners can be rowed very well.

PIONER MAXI

A deep V hull with up to 15hp engine. Extremely stable.

PIONER 8 MINI

The one in the photos being rowed by three small children! Exceptionally small and light, whilst also very stable. Engines up to 4hp.

PIONER RENTAL BOATS

As we noted above Pioner boats have been a popular choice with holiday rental centres and activity centres for many years. There are three Pioner models in their rental fleet.

PIONER KANO CANOE

A steady and solid two person open canoe, capable of use by adults or teenagers.

PIONER TAMARAN PEDALO

The four seat pedalo.

PIONER TRIO PEDALO

The five seat pedalo, with a large sunbed (to use when one is exhasted by too much pedaling under the hot sun!)
